How Does The Program Work?
A member can be referred to the Compassionate Care Team by a UHSM representative for a variety of reasons including chronic disease, cancer diagnosis, financial hardship, inpatient stay, and acquisition of high dollar medical bills.
Once a member is referred to the Compassionate Care Team, your UHSM representative will guide you through next steps. Our team does their best to work with you, your provider, and your agent through your unprecedented situation.
Cancer Kinship + UHSM’s Compassionate Care Team
Cancer Kinship, a member of UHSM’s community partner network, teamed up with the Compassionate Care Team to assist members with their new cancer diagnosis. Yoli Origel, founder of Cancer Kinship, is passionate about helping cancer patients adjust to their “new normal” by regaining control of their lives and transforming fear into hope. These two teams can help members navigate their new cancer diagnosis.
