What We Believe
“God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.” – (Hebrews 6:10)
The vision of this community is to provide education and encouragement to each other for healthy living and to hold each other accountable to a Christian set of health and well-being standards.
Our Mission
Who We Partner with for Your Healthcare Needs
Provider Network: We know that the relationship you have with your doctor is vital to your overall health and wellbeing. That’s why we’ve partnered with the PHCS® PPO Network, the largest and strongest provider network in the country. With PHCS, we offer our members access to over 1,200,000 doctors and hospitals, representing 95% of U.S. providers. Our partnership with PHCS means that our members benefit from pre-negotiated rates and payment processes that lead to a smoother patient experience and overall cost savings for the entire membership.
Pharmacies: UHSM understands that as prescription drug prices continue to rise, many patients are shouldering higher costs for their medications. Recognizing this challenge, UHSM members have access to pre-negotiated pricing with CVS Caremark—the largest pharmacy network with more than 60,000 retail locations nationwide including Costco, CVS, Kroger, Safeway, Target, Walgreens, Walmart, and more.
Through the CVS Caremark network, UHSM members have access to over 90% of the retail pharmacies in America. Members who require maintenance medications can also enroll in the CVS Caremark mail-service pharmacy to receive a 90-day supply for the price of 60-day supply – saving the member on their annual Rx expense.
Who Our Members Are
UHSM membership eligibility requires the acknowledgment of commitments, which include maintaining a healthy lifestyle, with the understanding that this program is for those dedicated to Christian beliefs and values.
Our members come from all walks of life and all backgrounds. From young families just starting out to those nearing their retirement years, over 2 million people in America are members of a health sharing ministry.
Health sharing ministries are especially beneficial for those whose employers may not offer employer-sponsored health insurance plans, those who work as freelancers or are self-employed, and those who work for small businesses with limited health benefits. Additionally, those nearing retirement age who are looking for an affordable way to handle health care costs prior to Medicare eligibility may find health sharing ministries to be a good fit.
With several different programs at different budget levels and for different health needs, UHSM has something to offer to virtually everyone.

Our Community Outreach
UHSM works through local churches and community outreach programs to promote righteous lifestyles. We support charitable, educational, and religious companies that promote faithful living.
Here are some examples of our community initiatives in action:
We partner with ThePureGame.org, a character education program, to support mental and physical health for young people in our communities.
UHSM supports Cornbread Hustle, a staffing agency dedicated to second chances, to provide free disinfection to Dallas, Texas area churches, to help safeguard essential work areas.
UHSM offers UHSM Telehealth for Essential Businesses to all church staff and their families, plus the staff at Second Harvest in Orange County, CA, adding an extra layer of security with on-demand healthcare.
UHSM supports the Orange County Soccer Club Community Corner, a season-long outreach program that provides nonprofit organizations tickets to every OCSC regular season home game to share with the families they serve. The program is supported through the OCSC Community Foundation, the official charitable arm of the Orange County Soccer Club, and UHSM, who are transforming the experience and relationship their members have with healthcare.
Why Choose UHSM
Our goal is to provide our members with the best healthcare sharing program on the planet. That is why our health sharing ministry is different from what you may originally think of when you picture a health sharing ministry. Here’s how UHSM is different:
UHSM partners with another third-party administrator to perform medical reviews before accepting new members. This helps ensure cost savings for all members of our health sharing programs.
We also encourage Care Confirmation, also called preauthorization, for medical procedures for members, which helps to ensure billing transparency and creates clarity for members regarding their medical expenses.
UHSM program benefits can be used in all 50 US states, and our partnership with the PHCS PPO Network gives our members access to over 1.2 million providers across the country.
Our partnership with CVS Caremark Network gives our members access to more than 60,000 pharmacies across the nation, including large national brands such as Costco, CVS, Kroger, Safeway, Target, Walgreens, and Walmart.
Other benefits we offer include:
- In-network providers available 7 days a week
- Access to telehealth services 7 days a week at no additional cost
- No incident or lifetime limits
- Same benefits in or out of state
- Wellness and preventive care from Day 1
- The most comprehensive health sharing programs and benefits offered anywhere with the addition of our long-term illness program and our accident program
UHSM offers a pioneering, fresh approach to healthcare that exceeds expectations. By tapping into our vast industry knowledge and broad networks, we are transforming the experience, the offering, and the relationship our members have with their healthcare. We’re dedicated to making a real difference in their lives!
