Coronavirus Letter from our President

Dear UHSM Member,

I hope this message finds all of you healthy and safe. During this difficult time, we continue to pray for those affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and for our leaders, who need to make strong decisions to keep us protected. I want you to know we are closely monitoring the situation and following guidance from experts at WHO, CDC, regional departments of health and the Federal Government.

With our hospitals and emergency rooms being pushed and stressed to the limit, UHSM has taken proactive measures to ensure members affected by COVID-19 have access to the care they need. We’ve worked jointly with our doctor network to develop a telehealth screening plan that can authorize COVID-19 lab tests if necessary, from help finding a local drive-through test to in-home testing if needed. As of this writing, telehealth networks like MD Live and Teladoc can’t claim that same level of COVID-19 assistance, and for that, we are very proud to have secured these services for you.

If you are currently experiencing any CDC-defined symptoms of the Coronavirus, please reach out to our UHSM Telemedicine providers immediately at 1-844-485-7150. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 9-1-1.

Our members have asked that we create a way to donate to those UHSM members experiencing financial hardship as a result of the Coronavirus. Members who have the means to help can find out more about donating at UHSM.networkforgood.com. Additionally, if you are directly impacted and anticipate trouble making your monthly contribution, please contact Member Services for hardship options.

Thank you again for being a member of UHSM. I know that together we will get through this on the strength of our faithful community.

Chris J.

President, UHSM

Amid the economic downturn due to the COVID-19, our membership asked us to setup voluntary contributions so that UHSM may assist members and others who find themselves battling adversity brought on by the coronavirus. This includes providing emotional support and direct and indirect gifts to those in financial need. UHSM is proud and will continue to help our communities in need, For Goodness Sake!
